How do I reserve a plate?
After a reservation is placed, the TasPlates Call Centre will contact you to collect payment and initiate the plate transfer. You must have your credit card and Customer Reference Number (CRN) available. If payment is not successfully taken during that call, the On Hold status may be removed and the plate returned to Live status for sale.
Do I need to use Escrow?
No. For this release you’re reserving directly with TasPlates, so Escrow.com isn’t used. Payment is taken by the TasPlates Call Centre the next business day.
Can I cancel after I’ve reserved?
You can cancel up until payment is taken on the call. Once payment is made and the transfer process begins, cancellation follows TasPlates Terms and Conditions
How long does On Hold last?
On Hold is temporary. TasPlates normally contacts you next business day. If payment isn’t completed in time, the plate returns to Live.
What if I miss the call?
TasPlates will try again within their standard contact window. If they can’t reach you in time, the plate returns to Live.
Can I reserve more than one plate?
Yes. Each reservation is handled as a separate call and payment.
I live outside Tasmania. Can I buy one?
Yes. Out-of-state buyers can reserve. CRN verification and transfer steps are handled on the call by TasPlates.
When does a plate show as Sold?
After payment is completed on the call the listing is marked Sold. Until then it shows Under Offer (On Hold) and can’t be reserved by others.
Is payment secure?
Yes. Payment is taken directly by the TasPlates Call Centre over the phone.

What happens if someone misuses the reservation system?
To ensure the Numeral Only Release 2025 is fair for everyone, any misuse of the platform, such as the use of bots or automated tools to reserve a Numeral Only plate or attempt to reserve multiple Numeral Only plates in a way that bypasses our rules, is not allowed. If we detect misuse, we will cancel the reservation, and the Numeral Only plate will be released back into the pool for other customers to purchase. We may also apply further measures to protect the integrity of our services.
How long does the hold last?
When you ‘reserve’ a Numeral Only plate for purchase it will be placed ‘On Hold’. In the event we cannot contact you within 24 hours of the ‘On Hold’ period commencing, such that purchase of the plate is not completed within that time, we will return the plate back into the pool for other customers to purchase.

About Numeral-Only plates

How do I purchase Numeral Only plates?
TasPlates will list Numeral Only plates for purchase periodically on the TasPlates website (https://www.tasplates.com/) and also on the Marketplates platform. On Marketplates, once plates and prices are published you can browse the listings and reserve a Numeral Only plate directly through Marketplates after setting up an account. Once you reserve a plate a TasPlates Customer Service Representative will contact you to finalise your purchase over the phone.
How many Numeral Only plates are made available for purchase?
Numeral Only plates are always released in small batches due to the limited availability of specific plate content and combinations.
Do I need to create an account on Marketplates to purchase a Numeral Only plate?
Yes. You may view listed Numeral Only plates and prices without a Marketplates account, but in order to ‘reserve’ a plate for purchase you will need to set up an account. A Marketplates account will maximise your experience and allow you to more easily track offers and your purchases.
Can I reserve more than one Numeral Only plate for purchase?
Yes. You can reserve multiple Numeral Only plates for purchase through Marketplates. Unlike previous Numeral Only plate releases conducted by TasPlates you are not limited to the purchase of one plate at a time.
Can I find out the prices of Numeral Only plates in advance of a release?
No. The price of each Numeral Only plate included in a particular release is only confirmed once plates are listed for purchase on Marketplates.
Why are Numeral Only plates more expensive?
Numeral Only plates are rare, in demand and considered collector’s items. The price of each plate is a reflection of market value.
Can I choose my own Numeral Only plate combination?
No. Only limited, specific combinations are released for purchase. Custom Numeral Only plate combinations are not available for purchase on Marketplates at this time.
What payment options are available?
Payments can be made using Visa or MasterCard over the phone when a TasPlates Customer Service Representative contacts you to complete your purchase.
Are Numeral Only plates available for purchase all year round?
